College Football can be great, and it can be terrible. That drama that comes from players and coaches trying to tip the scales in one direction or another is what makes this game so exciting.

Sometimes the drama can boil over in unfortunate ways. Sometimes there's so little drama, you get a game where the entire first half is punts. Looking at you, Navy and Charlotte...

But still, the idea that anything can happen is why we keep coming back, for better or worst. This is worst from the G5 in Week Seven.

Most of the Charlotte-Navy Game

74% of drives ended in a punt when Navy travelled to Charlotte this weekend. That's 20 punts between the two squads.

Offensive ineptness was on display throughout. In the third quarter, for example, Charlotte had four possessions, but managed only nine yards of offense in the quarter.

The difference maker for Navy? They simply didn't turn the ball over. The Midshipmen found a way to break off a few long touchdowns in the second half in order to get the 14-0 victory. Charlotte turned the ball over three times in this game.

In the preseason, Charlote head coach Biff Poggi was aggressively confident that his team would win the American. At 1-5, they're at the bottom of the league alongside East Carolina, who Charlotte faces in Week Eight.

Interactions Between Texas State Fans And ULM

Things can get rowdy in San Marcos, but things crossed a bit of a line during Texas State's 21-20 win over ULM on Saturday.

In the fourth quarter, Texas State fans tossed what looked like bottles, cans, and other trash at ULM players on the sidelines. Warhawks receiver Tyrone Howell was escorted to the locker room for retaliating, tossing a can back into the stands.

"It went from being the best Sun Belt crowd I've ever seen to one of the worst," Bowden said postgame. "They threw bottles, they threw cans. They hit our players with them. That should not happen. I hope they correct that because it's dangerous. One of our guys got taken off because he threw a can back up into the crowd, which he should never have done. But you can imagine their feelings getting hit by cans and things."

Troy Fumbles A Likely Touchdown

Ultimately this one didn't have much of an impact on the scoreline of Troy's 19-0 win at Army, but you still hate to see it.

Troy receiver Jabre Barber, who otherwise had an excellent game, caught a long pass on Army's 25-yard line in the first quarter with room to run. However, he had the ball punched out before he could reach the end zone, and Army's secondary was there to recover.

At that point in the game, a touchdown would have helped create a more substantial cushion for a Troy team that got most of their points from field goals in the win.
