Indiana Has No. 1 Seed in This Week's Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament

The 2023 Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament schedule is set,with Indiana earning the No. 1 seed and Iowa at No. 2. Here is the full schedule complete with dates, times, TV networks and seeding.

The 2023 Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament schedule has been released, and Indiana is the No. 1 seed. 

The 30th women's tournament presented by TIAA will take place March 1-5 at Target Center in Minneapolis, Minn. All 12 games will be televised on Big Ten Network Wednesday through Saturday, and the Sunday championship game will be broadcast on ESPN.

The Hoosiers as the No. 1 seed will first play on Friday at 12:30 a.m. ET in the quarterfinals, facing the winner of the Michigan State-Nebraska game. This season, Indiana won its first Big Ten regular season title since the 1982-83 team. The Hoosiers were the tournament's runner-up to Iowa last year and holds one Big Ten Tournament title from 2002.

Defending Big Ten tournament champs Iowa earned the No. 2 seed this year and will face the winner of the Wisconsin-Purdue game on Friday at 6:30 p.m. ET. Iowa has four tournament titles.

  • Game 1: No. 12 Minnesota vs. No. 13 Penn State, 2 p.m. ET. TV: Big Ten Network
  • Game 2: No. 11 Rutgers vs. No. 14 Northwestern, approximately 4:30 p.m. ET. TV: Big Ten Network

Thursday, March 2 (Second Round)

  • Game 3: No. 8 Nebraska vs. No. 9 Michigan State, 12:30 p.m. ET. TV: Big Ten Network 
  • Game 4: No. 5 Michigan vs. Game 1 winner, approximately 3 p.m. ET.  TV: Big Ten Network
  • Game 5: No. 7 Purdue vs. No. 10 Wisconsin, 6:30 p.m. ET.  TV: Big Ten Network
