Former IU Guard Jalen Hood-Schifino Hosting Basketball Camps in Bloomington, Charlotte
Los Angeles Lakers guard Jalen Hood-Schifino announced Wednesday that he's collaborating with Next Gen Camps to how two basketball camps within the upcoming month.
The first camp is scheduled to take place in Charlotte, N.C. on Aug. 26 from 1 to 5 p.m. ET for ages six to 16. Tickets can be purchased for $150 at this link.
Hood-Schifino will also host a camp in Bloomington, Ind. on Sept. 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET. The camp will take place at Twin Lakes Recreation Center, and is available for ages six to 16. Tickets can be purchased for $150 at this link.
Following a one-year career at Indiana, where he won Big Ten Freshman of the Year, the Los Angeles Lakers drafted Hood-Schifino with the 17th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
He participated in six NBA Summer League games this summer, and averaged 13.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. He shot 34 percent (32-for-94) from the field, 21.7 percent (5-for-23) from three, and 56.5 percent (13-for-23) from the free throw line.
