Mike Woodson is eyeing another forward in the transfer portal.

Indiana scheduled a zoom meeting for Wednesday with Virginia transfer Kadin Shedrick.

The 6-foot-11, 216-pound forward averaged 6.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks during his fourth season at Virginia in 2022-23. He also shot 64.7 percent overall and 79.4 percent at the free throw line. Shedrick does the majority of his work around the rim, making 65-of-97 2-point attempts and 1-of-5 3-point shots.

Shedrick scored 15 points with 13 rebounds and four blocks during Virginia's 68-67 loss to No. 13 seed in the NCAA Tournament Round of 64.

Indiana offered a scholarship to Shedrick out of high school, but he ultimately chose Virginia over Arizona State, Baylor, UConn, Creighton, Florida, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Louisville, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Ole Miss, Providence, Rutgers, Saint John's, Wake Forest, Xavier and others. Shedrick was a four-star recruit and ranked No. 68 by the 247Sports Composite in the class of 2019 out of Holly Springs, N.C.

Shedrick redshirted his first season at Virginia, then started 34 of 76 games across three seasons. He played just 7.8 minutes off the bench in 11 games in 2020-21, then averaged 6.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game in 2021-22. He's been a steady defensive force for coach Tony Bennett, who always has defensive-minded teams.

Since entering the transfer portal, Shedrick has at least heard from Kansas, Georgetown, Butler, Rutgers, Oklahoma, Wake Forest, Indiana, Cincinnati, Xavier, Florida State, Texas, Iowa, Kansas State, Nebraska, Seton Hall, Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, Florida, Notre Dame, Georgia, LSU, Gonzaga, BYU and Missouri.

Indiana has plenty of playing time to offer for next season after the departure of veteran forwards Trayce Jackson-Davis and Race Thompson, who played 34.5 and 23.2 minutes per game, respectively. Sophomore center Logan Duncomb was the first Hoosier to enter the transfer portal, leaving Malik Reneau, Jordan Geronimo and Kaleb Banks as the lone forwards still on Indiana's roster ahead of next season.
