FINAL: Michigan State 80, Indiana 65.
11:04 p.m. — We've reached the final media timeout and Michigan State is comfortably ahead now at 70-59. Indiana's defense has been awful. They've given up 57 points in the last 22 minutes.
11:02 p.m. — Trayce Jackson-Davis scores on a spin move to make it 68-59. That's 19 points now and ties him with A.J. Guyton for No. 4 on Indiana's all-time scoring list with 2,100.
10:58 p.m. — Michigan State up to 10 made three-pointers now. Just too many. Spartans lead 64-55 with 6:25 to go.
10:51 p.m. — Michigan State goes on an 8-0 run and the lead is back up to 13 at 61-48. Mike Woodson forced to call another timeout with 8:24 to go. Hoosiers just not sharp tonight on either end of the floor.
10:43 p.m. — We're at the under-12 timeout now, and Michigan State leads 55-48. Three Hoosiers in double figures, Trayce Jackson-Davis with 14, Trey Galloway with 11 and Jalen Hood-Schifino with 10.
10:41 p.m. — It's suddenly a five-point game and Indiana on a little heater right now. It's 53-48 with 11:47 to go.
10:28 p.m. — Strange game for Trayce Jackson-Davis tonight. He has five turnovers and has made several bad decisions. He's also missed three bunnies right at the rim. Michigan State leads 51-39 with 15:42 to go.
10:25 — Two more threes for Michigan State from A.J. Hoggard and Tyson Walker and the lead is 47-37. Only thing saving Indiana is back-to-back threes by Trey Galloway.
10:20 p.m. — Michigan State opens the second half with consecutive threes from Jaden Akins and Joey Hauser and the lead is suddenly up to 10 at 41-31. This is a 19-point swing in just 8 minutes of playing time. Quick timeout by Mike Woodson at the 18:44 mark.
10:07 p.m. — The common thread in that Michigan State comeback is that Indiana point guard Jalen Hood-Schifino picked up his second foul and went to the bench and didn't play in the final 6:12. Just not the same Indiana team when he's not on the floor.
10:02 p.m. — Tyson Walker is red hot, and he hits another three for Michigan State. The Spartans go to the locker room with a 35-29 lead. They outscored Indiana 22-7 in the final 6:12 of the first half.
9:57 p.m. — Jaxon Kohler has a nice set of moments for Michigan State. The 6-9 freshman scores inside twice over Trayce Jackson-Davis and then forces a held ball on the other end. Michigan State leads 32-29 with 26.8 seconds to go.
9:50 p.m. — Tyson Walker hits another three to tie the game at 24-24, but Miller Kopp quickly answers on the other end with a three of his own and Indiana goes back up 27-24. Media timeout at 3:13.
9:47 p.m. — Michigan State making its first run of the game. Gets points on consecutive possessions for just the second time all game, with a three from Tyson Walker and a pair of free throws from Malik Hall. It's 22-18 Indiana.
9:40 p.m. — We've reached the under-8 media timeout and Indiana leads 22-13. Hoosiers shooting 56.3 percent and the defense has been great. Michigan State just 5-for-15 from the field.
9:35 p.m. — A nice move inside by Trayce Jackson-Davis, and he scores. Fouled on the play, and he makes the free throw too. Indiana leads 20-12 with 8:41 to go. Scores again on the next possession with a great hesitation move that leads to an easy layup.
9:30 p.m. — The turnovers seem to have irritate Indiana coach Mike Woodson. He calls a timeout with 11 minutes to go. Hoosiers got a break there. Three straight miscues there, but the defense stopped Michigan State on all three looks.
9:25 p.m. — Miller Kopp gets his first look from three, and knocks it down. Indiana leads 17-10 with 12:29 to go. But then three straight Indiana turnovers. Tamar Bates and Malik Reneau in off the bench.
9:18 p.m. — A terrific start for Indiana, a team that's often started slow this season. We're at the first media timeout with 14:38 to go, and the Hoosiers lead 12-5. Jalen Hood-Schifino leading the way with six points so far.
9:15 p.m. — Race Thompson gets fouled, and he makes 1-of-2 free throws, and after another stop, Jalen Hood-Schifino scores to make it 8-0. Michigan State finally gets on the board at the 16:34 mark on a Joey Hauser three-pointer. Spartans failed to score on their first four possessions.
9:10 p.m. — We've tipped off here at the Breslin Center, and Indiana gets the first possession, but it's quickly stopped because the game clock didn't start. Hoosiers on the board first on the second possession with a basket from Jalen Hood-Schifino, and then Trey Galloway hits a three. Quick 5-0 lead for the Hoosiers.
9:05 p.m. — No suit for Indiana coach Mike Woodson tonight. Everyone is wearing black SPARTAN STRONG hoodies.
8:55 p.m. — Nice pregame honoring those who lost their lives in the school shootings here last week. Very muted crowd so far. Be curious to see how that changes once the game gets rolling.
8:50 p.m. — The usual starters for Indiana. Trayce Jackson-Davis and Race Thompson up front, with Miller Kopp, Trey Galloway and Jalen Hood-Schifino on the perimeter.
8:40 p.m. ET — The halftime shots update: Race Thompson and Anthony Thompson missed, but Trayce Jackson-Davis made his.,
8:30 p.m. ET — OK, let's start with the bad news. Tonight's officials are Larry Scirotto, Courtney Green and Kipp Kissinger. Indiana fans — and many other Big Ten fans, for that matter — have had huge problems with Scirotto and Green all season.
