WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — It's another showdown between Indiana and Purdue, and a rare meeting at Mackey Arena where both teams are ranked in the top-20.

No. 17 Indiana is looking for a season sweep after winning in Bloomington three weeks ago. Welcome to our live blog, where we'll keep you updated in real time straight from press row with all the news and views from the game. We'll throw in some highlights and opinion as well.

FINAL — Indiana sweeps the season series with Purdue, winning 79-71 at Mackey Arena. Freshman guard Jalen Hood-Schifino finishes with 35.
9:47 p.m. — Trey Galloway slips, but Indiana calls a quick timeout to retain possession. Indiana leads 73-63 with 1:32 to go.
9:41 p.m. — Trayce Jackson-Davis dunks and the lead is back to 11 for Indiana at 73-62 with 2:54 to go. Purdue is scoring, but Indiana continues to answer. Jalen Hood-Schifino up to 33 points now. The Indiana freshman record is 36 by Jay Edwards against Minnesota in 1988.
9:33 p.m. — And now Race Thompson picks up his fourth foul. Trayce Jackson-Davis and Malik Reneau with four as well with 6:45 to go. Indiana leads 65-56.
9:24 p.m. — Purdue is just 3-for-16 from three-point range tonight. Indiana leads 65-62 with 7:54 to go. At the under-8 timeout now.
9:20 p.m. — Six quick points for Trayce Jackson-Davis and the Hoosiers stretch the lead to 11 at 61-50 with 9:46 to go. But then he picks up his fourth foul and has to go to the bench. Jalen Hood-Schifino hits a mid-range jumper and Indiana leads 65-52 with 8:34 to go.
9:12 p.m. — Trayce Jackson-Davis picks up his third foul on a scramble for a rebound. That's three fouls on him now. Race Thompson and Malik Reneau also have three. Trayce fouled on an alley-oop and goes to the line. He makes them both and Indiana leads 55-48.
9:10 p.m. — Jalen Hood-Schifino drives right down the lane again and scores. The Indiana lead is up to 10 now at 53-43.
9:06 p.m. — Purdue continues to double Trayce Jackson-Davis on every touch, and now he finds a cutting Race Thompson for a second basket in the past few minutes. Indiana leads 51-42 with 13:18 as an angry Matt Painter calls timeout.
9:03 p.m. — Only three Indiana players have scored in this game. Jalen Hood-Schifino with 25, Trey Galloway with 11 and Miller Kopp with 8. All the others, including Trayce Jackson-Davis, with zeroes.
8:57 p.m. — A terrific start to the second half for Indiana. The Hoosiers are on a 10-0 run right now, and have pulled ahead 44-40. Trey Galloway with eight of the 10 points, including two three-pointers.
8:38 p.m. — This is the first time all year that Trayce Jackson-Davis has been held scoreless in the first half of a game. Purdue is doing a great job of keeping him off his spots. His counterpart, Zach Edey, has 13 for Purdue.
8:30 p.m. — So far, 12 personal fouls on Indiana, five on Purdue. The Boilermakers scramble a bit on their last possession, but Brandon Newman knocks down a three as time expires. We go to halftime with Purdue leading 38-34.
8:21 p.m. — It's been a tough first half for Trayce Jackson-Davis. He gets bumped on the way up and misses a shot, and doesn't get a call. He's 0-for-3 so far and has yet to score.
8:18 p.m. — Jalen Hood-Schifino is having a heck of a half. He's got 19 points already, and has made 7-of-11 shots. Purdue cannot slow down his penetratiuon. Miller Kopp hits a three, and we're tied at 30-30 with 4:39 to go.
8:07 p.m. — And now, Malik Reneau has three fouls in five minutes. Jordan Geronimo comes in. Jalen Hood Schifino scores and is fouled. He makes the free throw and has 15 points already. Purdue leads 24-23.
8:05 p.m. — Malik Reneau picks up his second foul way too fast again. Been a constant problem all season. Trayce Jackson-Davis finally gets his first shot up at the 10:04 mark, but it rolls off the rim. Purdue defending him well.
7:58 p.m. — Jalen Hood-Schifino hits a three and has 10 points already. Miller Kopp had a quick five before that. Purdue leads, but only by one at 19-18. Media timeout with 10:33 to go.
7:55 p.m. — Caleb Furst goes to the bench for Purdue, and Mason Gillis comes in. Furst had been guarding Trayce Jackson-Davis — and was doing a very good job. Zach Edey switches onto Trayce now.
7:50 p.m. — Caleb Furst beats everyone down the floor and gets an easy dunk for Purdue. Mike Woodson is livid and calls timeout with 14:42 remaining. Purdue leads 13-6.
7:45 p.m. — Indiana is finally on the board at the 17:09 mark on a Jalen Hood-Schifino free throw. Purdue leads 6-1, and then Trey Galloway hits a three, which will be a big key tonight. Indiana's guards have to win the head-to-head battle.
7:35 p.m. — The chippiness has already begun, with Purdue players still shooting while Indiana was lining up for the national anthem. Indiana gets it first, but turns it over on a bad entry pass from Jalen Hood-Schifino.
7:30 p.m. — Purdue goes with its most popular starting lineup, too, with freshman guards Braden Smith and Fletcher Loyer along with Ethan Morton. Caleb Furst and 7-foot-4 Zach Edey at center.
7:25 p.m. — Same starters for Indiana, Trayce Jackson-Davis and Race Thompson up front, with Jalen Hood-Schifino, Trey Galloway and Miller Kopp on the perimeter. Trayce is wearing a red t-shirt under his jersey tonight. Haven't seen that all year.
7:20 p.m. — Indiana is getting a slight edge in the betting money today. The point spread here at tipoff is now 6.5 points. Purdue was favored by 7.5 on the opening line.
7:15 p.m. — No Anthony Leal for Indiana. He's out with a lower left leg injury and is in street clothes with a boot on.
7:10 p.m. — Tonight's officials are Paul Szelc, Rob Riley and Brooks Wells.
7 p.m. — No Xavier Johnson for Indiana, as expected. He is in street clothes and shot around a bit during warmups. He's hoping for a return next week. He's been out since Dec. 17 after breaking his foot.
