Remainder of Indiana Women's Basketball Games to be on Network TV
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The No. 2 team in the country, Indiana women's basketball, will be on your television screens for the remainder of the season.
Backtracking to Thursday night, Indiana's home game versus Iowa brought in a record-breaking television audience of 325,000 viewers as the most-watched women's basketball broadcast in Big Ten history.
The previous record of 286,000 views for the 2022 Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament semifinals between Iowa and Nebraska was clearly shattered.
The No. 2 Hoosiers defended their home court versus Iowa sending the Hawkeyes back home with an 87-78 loss. Guard Grace Berger and forward Mackenzie Holmes combined for 50 points to shut down reigning Big Ten Player of the Year guard Cailtin Clark, who scored 35 points in the Hawkeyes' defeat.
Now, the Hoosiers can look forward to another televised matchup versus No. 13 Ohio State on Monday night at 7 p.m. ET on Big Ten Network. Indiana last saw the Buckeyes on Jan. 26 where the Hoosiers polished off the then-ranked No. 2 team 78-65 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
Indiana's following two matchups will also be broadcasted on Big Ten Network while the Hoosiers' live audience for the Purdue game is already sold out marking the program's first time hitting this milestone.
The Hoosiers will then wrap up their regular season with Iowa on ESPN for Indiana's second time on the network this season.
