Point Spread: Michigan State Slight Favorite Over Indiana in Regular Season Finale
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — It's the final day of the regular season, and Indiana is in a familiar position. The Hoosiers are taking on Michigan State at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, and the oddsmakers aren't on their side.
The Spartans (18-12, 10-9 in the Big Ten) are 3.5-point favorite according the SISportsbook.com gambling website. The over/under opened at 141.5 points, but has dropped three points to 138.5 as of 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. That's not a surprise based on recent trends with Michigan State.
Indiana (17-13, 9-10 in Big Ten) really doesn't care about being underdogs, because they've just won three straight league games as underdogs, beating Wisconsin, Maryland and Minnesota. It's the first time they've done that since 2004.
Michigan State has been a hard team to figure out this season. They were ranked No. 4 in the country in the preseason, but were out of the poll in two weeks and have never returned. They just lost three games in a row, and finally broke the streak on Wednesday in a hard-to-watch 53-49 win over Northwestern. So it's hard to figure what might happen on Sunday
The game starts at 4:30 p.m. ET. For all of the information on how to watch and a great preview of the game from HoosiersNow.com writer Jack Ankony, CLICK HERE

Michigan State results vs. spread this season
Hard-to-figure Michigan State is 18-12 overall and 10-9 in the Big Ten. They've had some nice wins, but a lot of confusing losses, too, especially lately, where they lost three in a row before finally beating Northwestern 53-49 on Wednesday.
The Spartans opened the season ranked No. 13 in the Kenpom.com computer rankings, the second-highest of all 14 Big Ten teams after No. 1 Purdue. Now they're at No. 19 as of Sunday morning, which seems high considering the overall record. Indiana, by the way, is at No. 93.
Michigan State is 17-13 against the number this season. So far, 18 of its 30 games have gone under the total, including four of the last five.
