Illinois Men's Basketball Announces Sellout For All Remaining Games at State Farm Center
Illinois fans hoping to get tickets to a men's basketball game for one of the last four home games this season will have to go through the secondary market. The social media team for the Fighting Illini announced on X that all remaining games at the State Farm Center have been sold out.
"The Illini famILLy always comes through," the post read. "The rest of this season has sold out!"
Per the post, tickets are still available through the secondary market. The announcement comes a few days after Illinois defeated Nebraska 87-84 in an overtime thriller in Champaign.
Capacity at State Farm Center is 15,544.
Illinois owns a 17-5 record and is ranked No. 10 in the Associated Press poll. It also sits at 8-3 in the Big Ten, just 1.5-games out of first place. The Illini are currently tied with Wisconsin for second place, trailing only Purdue (10-2 in Big Ten).
The remaining home games on the Illinois schedule this season:
- Tuesday, Feb. 13 vs. Michigan Wolverines, 7 p.m. ET
- Saturday, Feb. 24 vs. Iowa Hawkeyes, 2:15 p.m. ET
- Wednesday, Feb. 28 vs. Minnesota Golden Gophers, 9 p.m. ET
- Tuesday, March 5 vs. No. 2 Purdue Boilermakers, 7 p.m. ET
The highlight of the remaining home schedule is the March 5 showdown against Purdue. Although both teams have plenty of tests remaining, the Big Ten regular season title could come down to that matchup.
Illinois has played well at home this season, owning a 12-2 record in the State Farm Center. Playing in front of a sellout crowd for the remaining four games will make life even tougher for the opponents.
