BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Curt Cignetti's recruiting momentum continued Monday night with the addition of Myles Price.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound wide receiver announced his decision to transfer from Texas Tech to Indiana, giving Cignetti his fifth official transfer portal addition of the offseason.

Price joins the Hoosiers with one year of remaining eligibility after a productive career with the Red Raiders. Across four years, he totaled 161 receptions for 1,751 yards and 10 touchdowns. In each of those seasons, Price finished fourth or higher on the team in receiving yards.

He made an immediate impact on Texas Tech after committing to the school as a three-star recruit and the No. 677 player in the class of 2020 out of The Colony High School in Texas. Price hauled in 29 receptions for 305 yards and a touchdown as a true freshman.

Playing primarily slot receiver, Price would total over 500 receiving yards in both his sophomore and junior seasons. Most recently, as a senior in 2023, he caught 43 passes for 410 yards and a career-high five touchdowns.

Early in his career, Price was used in the run game. He ran the ball 12 times for 124 yards and a touchdown as a true freshman, then finished with 14 carries for 83 yards and a touchdown in 2021, though he didn't run the ball at all in 2022 or 2023.

There's also a possibility Price could be used in the return game at Indiana. He returned 20 punts for 297 yards at Texas Tech, 10 of which came during the 2023 season. He returned four kickoffs as a true freshman, but none across his final three seasons.

The vast majority of Price's snaps came as a slot receiver at Texas Tech, though he also took 201 snaps at wide receiver across four seasons. Indiana returns Donaven McCulley and E.J. Williams Jr., true outside receivers, so Price's addition will more likely help replace slot receiver DeQuece Carter, who declared for the NFL Draft.
