Flipping the Kansas Jayhawks Depth Chart Against Nevada
The Kansas Jayhawks basically kept the entire depth chart intact going from Week 1 to Week 2. And for the most part, the week-to-week depth chart didn't change much last season. But this week is entirely different.
Looking at the 2-deep as released by Kansas Athletics earlier this week, it's hard not to notice just how much different it is. While most of the players listed are the same, many of them changed positions or flipped their spots on the depth chart.
As usual, the final depth chart is still subject to change based on practices and during the week game-planning.

Takeaways
The two obvious changes are at the defensive line and cornerback positions, as Austin Booker and Cobee Bryant are both unavailable in the first half of Saturday's game. I expect them both to feature heavily in the second half, but the higher spots on the depth chart have to go to their backups. But the swap of JB Brown and Taiwan Berryhill at linebacker and Marvin Grant and OJ Burroughs at safety are a bit odd, even when you consider that they just swapped spots on the OR line. That indicates to me that we will likely still see an even split, but there might be a chance for the official starter.
I was surprised to see a complete swap on the backup positions for the offensive line, as each of the second stringers flipped to the exact opposite side of the line. I'm a bit surprised to see Logan Brown on the right side now, given how much he was being talked up as a starting left tackle.
The "OR" being removed from the quarterback position isn't unexpected, but given the level of competition and the fact that Jalon Daniels didn't practice on Sunday has me wondering if we get another phantom start for Jalon.
Either way, expect a lot of substitutions on Saturday, making it very unlikely that the official depth chart really causes big problems one way or another.
