Kentucky Drops Six Spots to No. 25 in D1Baseball Poll Ahead of SEC Tournament
Kentucky baseball owns the No. 8 seed in the upcoming SEC Tournament. Following a 1-2 weekend vs. Florida, the Wildcats still own a spot in the D1Baseball Top 25, just barely.
UK dropped six spots to No. 25 in the final poll before the postseason, which was released on Monday morning. Coach Nick Mingione's team is one of eight SEC teams ranked.
The Cats' upcoming opponent in the SEC Tournament on Tuesday, Alabama, leapfrogged into the poll, checking in at No. 24. After earning the No. 1 seed in the tournament, Florida moved up to No. 2.

- No. 24 Alabama
- No. 25 Kentucky
Kentucky and Alabama will be the third of four games in the first round on Tuesday, with first pitch set for 5:30 p.m. EST. The ballclubs squared off back in the end of March, with UK taking two of three games. More on that series HERE.
