Former Creighton Forward Arthur Kaluma Transferring to Kansas State

The Cats miss again in the transfer portal.

Kentucky had no strikes left, but it still struck out again in the transfer portal on Sunday.

Former Creighton forward Arthur Kaluma, who was slated to visit Kentucky next week, has committed to Kansas State during a visit to Manhattan. ESPN's Jeff Borzello and Stadium's Jeff Goodman reported the news moments after K-State head coach Jerome Tang eluded to good news via Twitter:

Coming out of Dream City Christian in Glendale, Ariz., Kaluma was the No. 49 recruit and No. 11 power forward in the 2021 class.

In two seasons in Omaha, The 6-foot-8 forward played in 68 games, making 67 starts. He put up similar numbers as a freshman and a sophomore, averaging 11.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists for his career.

Originally expected to keep his name in the NBA draft, Borzello announced on May 31 that Kaluma was withdrawing and keeping his name in the portal, with Kentucky being one of the teams that was already "in pursuit" of the forward.

On Friday, 247Sports' Travis Branham reported that a visit to Lexington was expected for next week, but that now won't happen, as K-State has picked up another win over UK following its NCAA Tournament Round of 32 win back in March.
