Kentucky basketball moved up to 17th in the NET Rankings after taking down Florida

After taking down Florida, the Cats took a massive leap in the NET Rankings.

The Kentucky Wildcats got a win over the Florida Gators 87-85 in Gainesville to start SEC play, and this win helped the Cats a ton in the metrics.

Florida is currently ranked 49th in the NET Rankings, so with Kentucky getting the big road win over the Gators, it gives them another Quad 1 win to add to the resume.

Picking up this Quad 1 win moved the Cats up from 22nd all the way up to 17th in the NET Rankings.

Let's look at Kentucky's record broken up by Quads, as we are now 13 games into the 2023-24 season.

Quad 1: 2-1

Quad 2: 2-0

Quad 3: 1-1

Quad: 6-0

This is Kentucky's second Quad 1 win, which is continuing to help this team rebound from the ugly loss to UNC Wilmington in early December.

Missouri comes to Rupp Arena on Tuesday in what will be a Quad 3 game for the Cats, which, for lack of better words, makes this a must-win game for John Calipari's squad.

The Cats will then head to College Station to take on the Texas A&M Aggies in what will be another opportunity to pick up a Quad 1 victory.

Winning these next two basketball games would give the Cats another massive boost up the NET Rankings.
