Texas A&M is a better team than the 9-6 record shows and Kentucky needs to be ready

Texas A&M is a tough matchup for the Kentucky Wildcats.

With four of the top five teams in college basketball already having lost this week, a lot of Kentucky fans have been discussing where the Cats will be ranked next week.

That discussion is being had a bit too early as the Cats still have a tough test coming with a road game against the Texas A&M Aggies on deck.

The Aggies are 0-2 in SEC play with an ugly home loss to LSU and a road loss to #16 Auburn, but they are better than the 9-6 record.

Head Coach Buzz Williams is an excellent basketball coach who always puts a gritty team on the floor.

Texas A&M is the number one team in all of college basketball when it comes to offensive rebounds, bringing in 18.33 a game. They are just ahead of Florida, who is second in this category, bringing in 16.47 a game.

When Kentucky played Florida on the road, the Gators tapped the ball in around the rim a ton, and that can't happen in College Station.

The Aggies are an older basketball team with a ton of returning experience. If Kentucky doesn't play good defense, lets up a bunch of second-chance points, or doesn't have their best offensive day, they could lose this game.

This game is going to be a close one, and it scares me a bit, as the Aggies aren't the best matchup for the Cats.
