WATCH: Tre Mitchell starts the Cats off with back-to-back made threes against Missouri

Tre Mitchell is hot early for the Cats against Missouri.

Kentucky big man Tre Mitchell was a big reason why the Cats were able to leave Gainesville, Florida, with a win over the Gators.

So far against the Missouri Tigers, Mitchell is scorching hot, scoring eight points on 3-4 from the field and 2-3 from deep.

Mitchell's size and ability to shoot the basketball is what makes him such a special player for the Cats. He has one of the most mechanical, in a positive way, jump shots I have ever seen. His hands are always in the same place, which helps him shoot the ball the same way every time.

We know Mitchell is a solid defender for the Cats and helps on the boards, but when he has games like this where he scores a lot of points, it really helps Kentucky explode on offense.

If Mitchell could get hot scoring in SEC play, it would make an already great Kentucky offense better. If this season ends in a special way for the Kentucky Wildcats, Mitchell will be a massive reason why.

Let's take a look at Mitchell's back-to-back threes that got the Cats going against the Missouri Tigers.
