Would you take Kentucky to cover the 14.5-point spread against Louisville?

The Kentucky Wildcats are ready to make a trip to the KFC Yum! Center to take on the Louisville Cardinals.

This is a ball game the Cats should win, but it being a rivalry game on the road, things can always get interesting.

The line on this game is currently 14.5 points in favor of the Cats, which is a big one knowing this is a rivalry matchup and things tend to be a bit crazy in this ball game.

I would be a tad bit hesitant to take the point in this game for this reason and this reason alone. Kentucky is leaps and bounds better than Louisville, but they are coming off a big win and playing their biggest rival on the road.

I believe Kentucky will win this game, but it seems like a lot of points in a ball game like this, where we know the Cardinals will be motivated.

Daniel Locke wrote about the history of the Louisville/Kentucky basketball rivalry.

"One of college basketball's biggest rivalries is set to be renewed tomorrow when the No. 9 Kentucky Wildcats head to the KFC Yum! Center to take on the Louisville Cardinals."

"There is a lot of history between the two programs. The first meeting was held on Feb. 15, 1913, at Buell Armory Gymnasium. Kentucky picked up a 34-10 victory. The Wildcats got off to a 4-0 start in the series before Louisville earned its first win on Feb. 27, 1915 at the Louisville YMCA."
