Hey, remember the transfer portal?

College football was a madhouse during the month of December. College basketball will likely be similar following the month of March, as players from all over the country will pack their bags and seek a new destination.

Conference tournaments are currently ongoing, but why not get some portal talk swirling?

Kentucky is one of a bevy of schools that has reportedly reached out to Chris Ledlum, a star forward out of Harvard. Andrew Slater of Cerebro Sports was the first to report the news:

So, who is Ledlum? Well, the 6-foot-6, 225-pounder was the straw that stirred the Crimson's drink. Averaging 18.8 points and 8.5 rebounds-per-game, he was tabbed to the All-Ivy League First Team.

In three seasons at Harvard, Ledlum saw continuous growth, leading to a breakout 2022-23 campaign. He had five games with 25 or more points and eight double-doubles headlined by a 35-point, 13-rebound outing in a win over Cornell on Feb. 18. He shot 47.3 percent from the field this season, though the Brooklyn native could only will his team to a 14-14 record.

He's one of the first somewhat-major names to reportedly hit the portal. Ranked as a 4-star coming out of high school, Ledlum had Power 5 offers, but ultimately opted to attend the esteemed university in Cambridge, Mass.

Kentucky celebrated six seniors on Senior Night last week, though all six could make returns for another year of eligibility. The Wildcats are also welcoming five freshmen to Lexington next season.

Head coach John Calipari struck gold in the portal last offseason, getting shooting guard Antonio Reeves to transfer to the Bluegrass from Illinois State. Much of Kentucky's current roster — Sahvir Wheeler (Georgia), CJ Fredrick (Iowa), Jacob Toppin (Rhode Island) and Oscar Tshiebwe (West Virginia) — made the decision to transfer.

Ledlum could be a name to watch once portal talk heats up.
