The Kentucky connection proved vital in this NBA poster slam
Former Kentucky Wildcats Malik Monk and De'Aaron Fox were teammates in Lexington and are once again in Sacramento, where they play for the Kings.
The Kings were the surprise team of the 2022-23 NBA season and now have established themselves as one of the best teams in the NBA.
In this ball game, Monk had ten points, seven assists, and two rebounds, while Fox had 18 points, five rebounds, and six assists in the Kings 130-114 win over the Jazz.
The highlight of this game was when Fox stole the ball from Kris Dunn, took the ball up the floor, and passed it back to Monk, who put Dunn on a poster.
It was the first game of the season, but there is a chance this is a dunk of the year candidate at the end of the season.
Monk and Fox have a big season ahead where they will look to make a deep run in the NBA Playoffs.
After taking down the Jazz, the Kings are 1-0, which is a great way to get the year started.
Let's take a look at Monk's dunk, that will be talked about for a very long time.
