This Kentucky Wildcat is heating up at the right time.

The Kentucky Wildcats are taking on the Texas A&M Aggies in College Station, and this is a ball game that everyone knew would be a struggle as the Aggies' strengths match up with Kentucky's weaknesses.

Early in this ball game, the Kentucky Wildcats have struggled to grab rebounds, which has led to some second-chance points for the Aggies. All of Texas A&M's players are crashing the boards and kicking the ball out for wide-open looks.

Texas A&M has struggled to make open shots all season long, but they are making them in this contest thus far, which has led to the 46-45 halftime deficit for Kentucky.

One of the reasons the Cats were able to hold off a strong first half from the Texas A&M Aggies is thanks to freshman guard DJ Wagner. All week, we have discussed how Wagner is heating up at the right time, and that streak of solid games has continued into this game against Texas A&M.

At the half, Wagner has nine points on 4-7 from the field. Wagner also has two first-half assists to go with his nine points. At the beginning of the season, Wagner was getting to the rim but then struggling to finish with a basket. Over Kentucky's first two wins of SEC play, Wagner has done an excellent job finishing once he gets to the rim.

If Kentucky wants to get this massive road win over the scrappy 9-6 Texas A&M Aggies, Wagner will need to play well in the second half.
