This stat shows why Kentucky produces the best NBA talent
There is no college better at producing NBA talent than the Kentucky Wildcats.
One thing all of Big Blue Nation knows is the Kentucky basketball program produces more NBA talent than any other school. Heading into this 2023-24 NBA season, the Kentucky Wildcats had the most players in the league with 26, just ahead of Duke at 24. The thing about the talent Kentucky is putting in the league is that it is some of the best in the NBA. When the NBA All-Star rosters come out, you will see a list full of former Wildcats.
If you look at the NBA top scorers list for this 2023-24 season, six of the top 25 scorers went to Kentucky. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is number four in scoring, averaging 31.0 points a game; De'Aaron Fox is seventh, averaging 28 points; Devin Booker is 11th, averaging 26.2 a game; Tyrese Maxey is 12th, averaging 26.1 a game; Anthony Davis is 17th, averaging 25.1 a game, and Julius Randle is 20th averaging 24.2 a contest. If you take this list a step further, eight of the top 50 scores in the NBA went to Kentucky, as Bam Adebayo and Karl-Anthony Towns are 33rd and 34th on this list.
An article written by Interbasket had this to say about the Kentucky players in the NBA, "With players like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Anthony Davis, De'Aaron Fox, Jamal Murray, Bam Adebayo, Tyrese Maxey, Malik Monk, Tyler Herro, and Trey Lyles, the former Wildcats would make a formidable NBA team by themselves."
It isn't a secret that Kentucky has taken over the NBA as you can't turn a game on anymore without seeing a former Wildcat filling up a stat sheet on the big stage.
