Rebuilding the Big Blue Wall is currently the highest priority for Kentucky football head coach Mark Stoops and offensive coordinator Liam Coen.

You can never have enough capable offensive linemen, and that's becoming evident in UK's recruiting as they look to stockpile as many mammoths as possible for the future.

The Wildcats have already earned the commitments of two offensive linemen for the 2024 class, as 3-star Kentuckians Hayes Johnson and Aba Selm have both pledged to UK. Last month, a gargantuan 2024 target announced his top 10, including Kentucky.

  • Oregon
  • LSU
  • Tennessee
  • Auburn
  • Arkansas
  • Miami
  • Kentucky
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Ole Miss

Now, 4-star offensive tackle Jac'Qawn McRoy — who stands 6-foot-8, 365 pounds — has taken a visit to Lexington:

Coming out of Pinson, Ala., McRoy has taken a leap in the 2024 class and is now ranked as high as No. 63 nationally by 247Sports. Per the On3 Consensus, he is the No. 16 OT in the class.

247Sports' Cooper Petagna had high praise for McRoy in a 2023 scouting report:

"Displays good foot and body quickness for his size, shows the ability to explode into both his run and pass sets. Has a tendency to play a little high off the line of scrimmage but overcompensates with size and frame. More of a leaner at the point of attack but flashes some power in his hands and ability to naturally move defenders off the line of scrimmage. Shows the ability to play in space at the second level and doesn’t appear to be limited to only playing in a power scheme at the next level. Reactionary athlete that bends well for his size and possesses some quick twitch traits in the upper and lower body."

Auburn is considered the favorite to the land the Alabaman. Coach Hugh Freeze and the Tigers have received three unofficial visits from the Clay-Chalkville High School product. Wednesday was McRoy's second visit to Kentucky. He has also taken a pair of unofficials to Arkansas.
