4-Star Linebacker Elijah Groves Commits to Kentucky
Kentucky football has added a second blue-chip pledge to its 2024 recruiting class.
On Saturday, the Wildcats landed a commitment from 4-star linebacker Elijah Groves:
Standing 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, Groves chose UK over the likes of Purdue and NC State. He was in Lexington on June 8, and despite taking officials to West Lafayette and Raleigh, the Cats did enough to find the win for the Cross Plains, Tenn. native.
Groves is the No. 352 player in the '24 class, No. 34 LB and No. 9 player in Tennessee, per the On3 Consensus. At East Robertson High School, he also plays basketball and participates in track and field.
Defensive coordinator Brad White led the recruitment of Groves, who ranks as a top-150 player in the class in the eyes of 247Sports. He's the second 4-star recruit to join UK's class, along with quarterback Cutter Boley.
UK's class now sits at 11 hard commits, many of whom have committed during June. The dice stay hot for head coach Mark Stoops and his staff.
