Kentucky Offers Forward Koa Peat, No. 3 Player in 2025 Class
Kentucky head coach John Calipari has extended an official offer to one of the top players in the 2025 class, 5-star forward Koa Peat.
Calipari and assistant coach Chin Coleman were in Omaha, Neb. to watch prospects taking part in the Adidas 3Stripes Select Basketball Circuit. Peat, who plays for the Compton Magic, drew a big crowd of coaches and staffers, then proceeded to drop 29 points to go along with eight rebounds and six assists.
The performance led to an offer from the Hall of Fame coach:
Coming out of Perry High School in the greater Phoenix area, Peat is considered the No. 3 overall player in the 2025 class, per the On3 Consensus. Kentucky joins the likes of hometown schools Arizona and Arizona State, as well as Baylor, Michigan, Memphis, Indiana, Kansas, Tennessee and Ole Miss that have offered.
Standing 6-foot-7, 200 pounds, Peat joins shooting guard Darryn Peterson (No. 8 overall) as class of 2025 players with offers from UK.
