CHARLOTTE - The 2023-24 Atlantic Coast Conference men's basketball preseason poll and All-ACC team was released Thursday, and Louisville was selected to finish 14th in the conference race, according to a vote of 51 media members across the league.
Duke was chosen as the favorite to win the ACC title this season. Miami, North Carolina, Virginia and Clemson round out the top five.
Duke sophomore forward Kyle Filipowski earned Preseason ACC Player of the Year honors, whereas North Carolina freshman guard Elliot Cadeau was tabbed as the Preseason ACC Rookie of the Year.

Louisville will be looking for a massive rebound in their second year under head coach Kenny Payne. During his first season at the helm, the Cardinals went just 4-28 overall and 2-18 in ACC play, setting a new program record for most losses in a single season.
The Cardinals have just four scholarship returners from last season in Mike James, J.J. Traynor, Brandon Huntley-Hatfield and Emmanuel Okorafor. Louisville and Payne added 2023 prospects Dennis Evans, Kaleb Glenn, Curtis Williams Jr. and Ty-Laur Johnson; D1 transfers Skyy Clark, Tre White and Danilo Jovanovich; and JUCO transfer Koron Davis to the fold to replace the departing talent.
Louisville will tip-off the regular season on Monday, Nov. 6 against UMBC at the KFC Yum! Center.
