LSU Gains Commitment From 2024 Forward Devon Pryor

Tigers add their first 2024 commitment on Tuesday, land a gifted wing with tremendous upside.

Matt McMahon and Co. have hit the recruiting trail with force this offseason, and after making their way all over the country, LSU has gained their first commitment in the 2024 class after Texas native Devon Pryor pledged to the Tigers on Tuesday.

Pryor, a 6-foot-7 wing who has seen his recruitment explode over the last few weeks, has shut down his process after committing to LSU. A three-star prospect currently, Pryor is a late bloomer who has significant upside for McMahon’s staff.

A lengthy, gifted player who has the intangibles to take off rather quickly, Pryor gives the Tigers a guy with tremendous upside moving forward.

He’s showcased his game on the AAU circuit over the last few weeks as he gears up for his senior season and looks the part for a player preparing for the next level.

Pryor plays for NBA legend Tracy McGrady on the Adidas 3SSB Adidas Circuit where he’s put on display his impressive touch and tremendous size.

Here’s what 247Sports Travis Branham had to say of Pryor’s game:

"Devon Pryor is a prospect you can't walk by without noticing. He stands 6-foot-7 with long arms and a thin frame, looking the part of a potential late-bloomer. He's caught the eyes of coaches and evaluators for a few months now and he's starting to turn the corner from 'prospect' into 'player'. Pryor is a high-level athlete with a high major body and he was active on both ends of the court all weekend. The more plays he made, the more confident he got and he became more aggressive and consistent as the weekend went on. He can impact the game as a slasher, defender and showed the ability to make shots from three."

Pryor is commit No. 1 for the Tigers in their 2024 class as McMahon gets his feet wet in the recruiting game after a big offseason in the NCAA Transfer Portal.
