Kim Mulkey and the reigning National Champion LSU Tigers will host five-star guard Addie Deal for a visit to Baton Rouge on Saturday, sources tell LSU Country.

The No. 12 ranked prospect in the 2025 class is a priority target for the Bayou Bengals as they continue building a roster for the long haul.

Deal, a hot commodity on the recruiting scene, has reeled in over a dozen Division I offers with LSU being the first to extend a scholarship in 2021.

Now, as she continues her rise up the rankings, the Tigers remain in her ear. The No. 1 player in California, Mulkey and Co. are going national for their future classes.

Along with Deal, LSU will get a visit from the No. 1 prospect in the 2025 class this fall when Aaliyah Chavez makes her way down South. Both parties remain working to find a date that works.

The latest on the recruiting trail for LSU hoops:

The No. 1 Player in America: Sarah Strong

Sarah Strong is at the top of LSU's "wish list" for good reason. There are ties to LSU with Strong previously playing ball with current freshman Mikaylah Williams and this staff has done its homework on her game.

The No. 1 player in the 2024 class is fresh off of a visit to UCONN last weekend where the prized prospect met with Geno Auriemma and Co. up north.

As it stands, this is a battle between LSU and UCONN for Strong's services. Sources familiar with the situation believe a decision could come by the end of the month for Strong as LSU continues turning up the heat for their top target. LSU Country will keep you updated on a commitment timeline.

The No. 2 Player in America: Joyce Edwards

Joyce Edwards has been well traveled this fall. She's taken her official visit to LSU and will also take a visit to Texas A&M this weekend before a visit to South Carolina set to take place next weekend.

A South Carolina native, the Gamecocks have emerged as the team to beat for Edwards. Following Edwards' visit to College Station this weekend, LSU will look to get in front of Edwards before she takes her trip to South Carolina next weekend.

There is no timeline set for Edwards and a decision, but like Strong, we'll keep you in the loop regarding a commitment date.

New Visit Date in the Works: Aaliyah Chavez

The No. 1 prospect in the 2025 class was set to make her way to Baton Rouge for an official visit to LSU last weekend, but Chavez will reschedule her visit after a conflict changed plans. She will look to get in a trip to campus in the coming weeks.

Chavez, a 5-foot-9 point guard out of Texas, included the Tigers in her Top 10 schools with a visit still in the works.

The numbers are significant for Chavez when it comes from a production standpoint. She averaged 30 points per game on 55% from the field as just a sophomore, but it gets better. From three-point range, Chavez knocked down 47% of her deep balls. As a freshman, she averaged 27 points a night.
