Tiger Practice Report: Chasen Hines, Siaki Ika return to practice

Fulton among players missing as LSU practices with no pads

It was another rainy, muggy day in Baton Rouge which meant an indoor practice for the LSU football team, with a few key injured players making their returns.

Sophomore guard Chasen Hines, freshman nose tackle Siaki "Apu" Ika and senior Rashard Lawrence all made returns to practice Monday after missing portions of fall camp.  Hines missed a weeks worth of practice recovering from offseason knee surgery.

Ika and Lawrence returned after missing three and two practices respectively. The 6-foot-4, 354 pound Ika is competing with Tyler Shelvin for the other nose tackle starting job and now has less than two weeks to win defensive line coach Bill Johnson over.

Senior defensive end Breiden Fehoko and junior cornerback Kristian Fulton were not at practice Monday, with Fehoko missing his first practice of the fall.

The team was practicing without pads Monday with the offense working on short routes with the running backs and receivers.

One of the many drills the defense was working on was wrapping up defenders, which is what the defensive backs are practicing here.
