No. 13 LSU returns to action with a matchup against No. 20 Ole Miss set to kickoff at 5 p.m. CT in Oxford.

Jayden Daniels and the Tigers look to continue their winning ways against the Rebels with an opportunity to begin SEC play 3-0 with a victory over Ole Miss.

For Lane Kiffin's group, it'll be a chance to bounce back after dropping Week 4 to Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide last weekend.

“An outstanding offense and a very aggressive defense,” Kelly said of Ole Miss. “It’s a rivalry game again with the Magnolia Bowl trophy and we have to go on the road against another SEC opponent. We have some things that we have to get better at, but we’re looking forward to the challenge.”

Pregame Updates:

- LSU WR Aaron Anderson is OUT for Saturday's matchup against Ole Miss with a hamstring injury.

- LSU LB Omar Speights is AVAILABLE against the Rebels. 

- The Tigers will roll with their wide receiver tandem of Malik Nabers, Brian Thomas Jr. and Kyren Lacy as the starters. Expect Chris Hilton Jr. to receive significant snaps against the Rebels. 

- Ashton Stanps and Zy Alexander earn the start as the No. 1 and No. 2 cornerbacks. 

- LSU CB Duce Chestnut is OUT for Saturday. He did not make the trip with the team.

- LSU going with the same starting OL rotation: Will Campbell, Garrett Dellinger, Charles Turner, Miles Frazier and Emery Jones.

First Quarter

LSU has won the coin toss and deferred until the second half. Ole Miss will begin the game with the football. Tigers kick off. 

Omar Speights earns the start for LSU at linebacker alongside Greg Penn III. Speights returns after missing the last two weeks with a hip flexor injury. Expect major Whit Weeks as well. 

LSU defense opens the game in a dime package (six defensive backs) with Ashton Stamps and Zy Alexander taking over boundary cornerback duties. Laterrance Welch receiving reps on the first drive. 

Ole Miss elects to go for it on fourth and seven inside the 10-yard line and converts for the touchdown. Jaxson Dart hits Quinshon Judkins in the end zone. 14-play, 75-yard drive.

LSU offense opens their first drive of the game with a 13-yard run from Logan Diggs. Tigers continue looking to improve their rushing attack with a productive start in this one. 

The Tigers' offense stalls after Diggs' 13-yard run and Jay Bramblett is on to punt it away. Ole Miss takes over on their own 12-yard line. 

LSU's defense bounces back on the Rebels' second offensive drive, forcing a three and out. Tigers take over on their own 42-yard line. 

Tigers continue utilizing the rushing attack here on the second drive with Logan Diggs, John Emery and Jayden Daniels making major contributions. LSU inside the Ole Miss 30-yard line. 5:15 remaining.

Jayden Daniels scrambles on third and eight where Ole Miss delivered a ferocious hit on the Tigers' QB1. Daniels fumbles and the Rebels take over. 

Ole Miss wastes no time on their third offensive drive of the game with a quick touchdown from running back Ulysses Bentley IV. 3-play, 71-yard touchdown drive.

Second Quarter

Jayden Daniels continues keeping the Tigers alive in Oxford with his legs. 55-yard rush puts LSU inside the 10-yard line. 

LSU's offense is rising to the occasion in this one. Logan Diggs punches in the score for the Tigers. 6-play, 78-yard touchdown drive.

Defensive coordinator Matt House is throwing out a variation of schemes at Ole Miss here. The secondary has already seen Zy Alexander, Ashton Stamps, Laterrance Welch and Denver Harris take significant snaps. Alexander exited the game with an injury and went to the locker room. 

Ole Miss continues ripping LSU's defense apart. 300 total yards (158 passing and 142 rushing) with a 71% conversion rate on third down.

Third Quarter

LSU begins the second half with the football; giving the ball to Logan Diggs on the first snap of the half. Tigers moving the ball down the field early after a late-hit penalty on Ole Miss. Tigers in the red zone.

Fourth Quarter

Kyren Lacy has come up in a big way for the Tigers tonight. After tallying a touchdown early, he reels in a pass on third down to keep the drive alive.

The following play? Jayden Daniels connects with Brian Thomas Jr. for a 34-yard touchdown. He reels in his third touchdown of the game.
