The LSU WR Big Board: Tigers Lose Commitment From Joseph Stone Jr.

LSU loses a pledge from four-star wideout Joseph Stone, what's next for this position group?

LSU football is in the midst of an impressive stretch on the recruiting trail but there's been some shuffling of prospects over the last few days.

On Tuesday, longtime LSU wide receiver commitment Joseph Stone backed off of his pledge to the Tigers.

The latest on LSU's search for another 2024 wideout:

Reopening Recruitment: Joseph Stone

Stone became one of the first players to pledge to the Tigers in the summer of 2022 and remained committed to the purple and gold despite several potential suitors entering the mix.

Over the summer, Louisville got Stone down to campus where buzz began surrounding a potential flip.

Now, a handful of programs will be in his ear as he reopens his process.

Stone said in a statement:

"I would like to thank the entire staff for taking the time to get to know me as a player and as a person. Being committed to LSU has been nothing but the greatest.

I am fortunate to be a part of something that will always be unique. Thank you to the LSU fan base for your unwavering support.

It has been incredibly difficult to decide, but I am confident that God is perfect and makes no mistakes. With that being said I will be decommitting from LSU and reopening my recruitment!"

The Target: Dre'lon Miller

The Texas A&M pledge has been committed to the Aggies since June, but it hasn't stopped the Tigers from turning up the heat for the four-star wideout's services.

Miller made his way to Baton Rouge once again this weekend for a game day experience against Auburn. Those familiar with the situation believe LSU hit it out of the park and the Tigers have gained traction in his recruitment.

With Stone now out of the mix, LSU will continue its pursuit of Miller in hopes of flipping the Texas A&M commit their way.

The Commitments:

Four-star Kylan Billiot

Four-star Jelani Watkins

Four-star Michael Turner
