It’s a chance to reach the NCAA Tournament’s Final Four for the Miami Hurricanes and the Texas Longhorns.

Two very accomplished teams will be going at one another. Miami comes in with a 28-7 record, while Texas has earned a 29-8 record.

The Canes defeated Houston in the Sweet 16 by a score of 89-75, while the Horns advanced past Xavier 83-71.

As for the storylines that lead into tonight’s contest, the biggest news has revolved around Texas forward Dylan Disu having a left foot bone bruise injury that kept him out of all but just over a minute of the game against the Musketeers. He’s been a tremendous asset to the Longhorns during the past month.

At Baylor on Feb. 25, he scored 24 points from 10 of 15 shooting. Counting that game through the Penn State victory, Disu averaged 16.5 points points during those eight games.

Can the Longhorns win if he does not play against the Canes? What about winning if he’s capable of playing at 50%?

There are some great matchups tonight regardless if Disu plays, too. It will be interesting to see how Texas attempts to defend Miami's half-court offense after Nijel Pack lit Houston up for 26 points while also not leaving ACC Player of the Year Isaiah Wong open for shots either.

Bottom line, this will be a great game. Before the Live Blog itself, here are the other stories that led up to today’s Elite Eight battle.

Out of bounds on Miami....Texas ball with 2:58

Rice just hit an incredible shot in the lane....it's tied.

Miller hits 2 free throws to put the Canes up 77-75.

This is one of the best games of the college basketball season!

Josepeh end-to-end. 68-60 Texas leads.

10:01 Miller fouled. 1-and-1. Miller made both. 67-58 Texas leads.

12:08 to play

64-53 as Poplar with a smart play to throw it off a TX player from out of bounds and then grab the ball and dunk it!

Critical that Miami makes a run RIGHT NOW

Pack with a fantastic running shot make. Texas ..... right back. They just look unreal on offense. Texas up 59-47.

Bishop drilled a baseline jumper....Texas up 56-45 and now has the ball.

16:12 Texas ball after a foul by Poplar.

Texas up 54-45 as Wong made both.

Wong fouled on a dunk attempt.

Omier picked up his 3rd foul.

16:55 Poplar drove and scored...

Do the Hurricanes have a run in them? To make that happen, defensive adjustments are needed now!

17:17 With Allen hitting a jumper in the lane, UT went up 53-41. Timeout Miami. It's absolutely time for Miami to make a move or this game could get out of hand. Texas is just shooting the lights out!

Note: Texas looks just as comfortable as the 1st half. Horrible sign for UM.

Texas has challenged UM in the full-court game....and been great. Horns up 51-41

Pack with a great scoop shot....UT right back

18:44 They are looking at the monitor....shot clock violation against UT....did the ball hit the rim?

19:06 Texas starts the 2nd half with a bang as Mitchell threw down an oop. Wong ... right back! Texas up 47-39.

Time for some significant halftime adjustments.

Nice acting job by Carr to get 3 free throws....foul on Pack. Huge call for Texas. Carr hits 2 of 3 and the Longhorns lead 45-37 at halftime.

Poplar with a great shot in the lane. 43-37 Texas.

Note: At this point, Miami absolutely must switch up the defense, at least a little bit, with halftime adjustments. Texas looks very, very comfortable. Sometimes packing the paint works (think Houston game), but sometimes it does not. Texas has shot 54.8% including hitting 7 shots from 3-point land.

:40 Carr just went one end to the other....great shot in the lane over two Miami defenders. Texas up 43-35. Danger time for Miami. Need a bucket badly.

1:00 Texas up 41-35.

1:18 - Horns up 39 to 35.

Can Texas shoot much better? At some point, Miami will grab some boards -- one would think -- after some missed UT shots from behind the arc.

Texas is just lighting up the UM defense....7/13 from 3 is insane!

Miller is 6 for 6 from the field....13 points.

Miami not rotating well....another 3 for UT

Miller to Poplar for 3!

Canes must finish the half strong!

TV timeout after Miller scored for UM and Allen scored for Texas. 31-28 Longhorns lead with 4:33 remaining in the first half.

Nijel Pack for Miami's first 3-point hoop. Texas right back...29-26 Horns

Allen with a spin move for 2.

Allen hits for Texas and Pack for Miami....25-23 Horns lead.

Texas right back with a 3. Horns up 23-21

Miller is tremendous....leaner off the glass....21-20

Another slam for Omier....20-19 Texas

A big triple for Carter....Texas up 20-17

With power! Omier throws it down .... 17 all

The Canes need to a run now....Texas has been more aggressive the past 4 minutes.

11:08 TV timeout

11:35 Omier was great with that power move....17-15 Texas leads.

12:06 Cunningham with a triple....Miami's perimeter D is not good tonight.

Rice is on fire for Texas. He has another 3 and 8 points overall. Texas up 14-11.

Miami has started to be less selective with shots. That's no good.

Joseph fouled on the layup attempt. He made both...11 up

Rice with a jumper for Texas, and then Wong picked up his first foul on a charge. He was careless with that drive.

Miami did look better on that possession.

Joseph missed both free throws. That's rough.

14:55 and the ball is back in play

With Texas not having Dylan Disu in the lineup, that should impact the rotation for the "Horns during the final 10 minutes. Canes could benefit from tired legs and simply players that are not quite as used to playing a lot of minutes having to make plays. That's especially true if Miami can get UT in some foul trouble.

The Hurricanes need to find the bottom of the bucket again. A couple of missed shots from inside of 10 feet. That's not good enough against the Longhorns. It's 9-9 at the first TV timeout.

With Omier on the bench with his first foul, Miaim's D and rebounding has not been the same.

Great run by Texas....tied up 9-9

Rice with a triple closes the gap to 9-5.

Wong with a drive .... 9-2 Canes rolling

Miller to the hoop, AND 1 .... Canes up 7-0 with 18:00 to play

Miami up 4-0...more aggressive from the get-go

Here we go!

Game time is at 5:05 p.m. ET on CBS. The live blog will start a few minutes prior to the game tipping off.
