Miami Basketball: Austin Swartz Picks Canes!
The Miami Hurricanes have been operating an up-and-down offensive style of basketball under the direction of head coach Jim Larrañaga. That’s why the commitment of nationally ranked recruit Austin Swartz makes sense.
Considered by many to be a combination guard, Swartz can light it up off the dribble by way of creating his own shot, or come off a screen and knock down shots. Powerfully built for a prep player, he announced his decision just a little while ago.
The Hurricanes beat out a slew of top programs to win Swartz’s commitment. UConn, Indiana, Florida State, Clemson, Georgia and Virginia Tech were among Swartz’s finalists.
A class of 2024 prospect, Swartz was the first commitment for Miami this cycle. He’s honed his game while playing for Concord (N.C.) Cannon School.
