Miami Disrespected? Reggie Wayne Believes So
One of Miami’s all-time great football players wants to see his alma mater do well in any sport.
He also wants Miami to given credit when credit has been due.
Reggie Wayne played for Miami from 1997-2000 and was a part of the building blocks that led to the Hurricanes going on to win the national title one season after he left Coral Gables.
Wayne still follows the Canes closely, and the following tweet left no doubt that he’s not happy about coverage of the NCAA Tournament’s Final Four by one particular outlet.
Over the years, certain media outlet’s lack of respect for Miami has not been something that Wayne – or Miami fans in general – believed was deserved.
Now, with the obvious snub being public, how will the men’s basketball team from Miami come out and play? There’s a great way to earn respect and prove the doubters wrong. Play excellent basketball and win.
Miami will face off with the Connecticut Huskies on Saturday night inside of NRG Stadium in Houston. That chance for respect tips off in just over one day from now.
