Miami Hurricanes NBA Summer League Tracker: Wong Finally Has Breakout Performance Wednesday Night

Following The Performances Of Jordan Miller And Isaiah Wong In The NBA Summer League
Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

With the NBA Summer League in full swing in Las Vegas, recently drafted Miami Hurricanes Isaiah Wong (Pacers) and Jordan Miller (Clippers) will get their chances to show their new teams what they have in store.

The former Canes will play at total of four games before the tournament begins, where they will have a chance to make a run for the Summer League title. Follow along this tracker to recap the performances of Miller and Wong along the way.

June 12th:

Clippers 83 - Grizzlies 74

The Clippers summer league team pulls off consecutive victories, but Miller fails to reach double digit points in a poor shooting night for both teams. Miller was three for six however, missing all of his three point attempts. He was able to add three assists and two steals to the tally. The Clippers will face the Philadelphia 76ers tomorrow in their last game before tournament play begins.

Thunder 98 - Pacers 87

Even though the Pacers lost in large part to sitting Mathurin and Andrew Nembhard, it gave Wong the opportunity to slide into the starting lineup and show why he was ACC Player of The Year. Wong had an efficient 17 points, going three for six from deep and adding four assists. He also added some stats on the defensive end, with two blocks and a steal as he tries to bring value on both ends. The Pacers will matchup with the Dallas Mavericks tomorrow.

June 10th:

Pacers 108- Magic 85

While Wong still put up just six points, he did so on three shots and only missed one. He also cut down his turnovers and fouls, a step in the right direction from the previous game. Wong did find himself across media pages for his alley-oop to teammate Bennedict Mathurin. After a much more productive day, Wong will look to make a bigger impact in his next matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder tomorrow evening.

Clippers 80 - Kings 70

Miller put up six points on eight shots for the Clippers as they got the best of the Sacramento Kings in a low scoring matchup. Miller did add on three rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal as well continuing to put his all-around efforts on display. Miller will be back in action tomorrow as he and his Clippers faces the Memphis Grizzlies.

June 8th:

Pacers 91 - Wizards 83

Wong put up just six points in 17 minutes of action in his Summer League debut as the Indiana Pacers got the best of the Washington Wizards. Wong's debut was one to forget, as he only got four shot attempts, making one of them. He also ended the game with six fouls, and four turnovers. Like the rest of his team, Wong was unable to get the three into the basket as he missed his three attempts. However, Wong did show good effort on the defensive end, and was comfortable running the pick and roll with his new team.

Jazz 105 - Clippers 99

Miller put up an efficient 12 points for the Los Angeles Clippers despite them falling to Utah Jazz. Miller shot two for four from three, further showing the league that he can make shots from range which was a concern coming into the draft process for him. Additionally, Miller added four rebounds and four assists, providing the Clippers with his all-around game in the performance. Miller did notch the start for the Clippers while Wong came off the bench, but overall just had a better performance.
