The Miami Hurricanes are almost through fall camp. That means the depth chart is almost set.

All Hurricanes contributor and podcaster Alex Donno has his own ideas about Miami’s depth chart.

As Donno noted, nothing really matters until the Canes face off with the Miami RedHawks on Sep. 1. That said, Donno did give his own take on the best position battles and which players will start.

A few notes are as follows:

Quarterback - It’s been Tyler Van Dyke. Nothing changed.

Running Back - One of the more interesting debates because of the styles of play for guys like incoming freshman Mark Fletcher, Jr., Nebraska Transfer Portal addition Ajay Allen, and incumbent Henry Parrish, Jr. Donno had some great points here.

Tight End - How ready will Elijah Arroyo be for this season? He’s been playing in fall camp, but coming off injury from last season. Lots of questions at tight end, but there’s certainly ample talent as well.

Wide Receiver - The starters should not surprise you, but Donno added good information about the depth overall.

Offensive Line - There could be some flux down the line, but Donno gave a great intro about what’s happening now as well. Offensive Line has been one of the more interesting positions to follow and Donno proved that point.

Defensive Line - A lot of competition has taken place. Hard to argue with Donno’s choices, but do not discount Rueben Bain, Jr. and other players to make big impacts.

Linebacker - Donno’s thoughts about the battle at the weak side linebacker position were spot on.

Cornerback - Arguably the most intriguing battles have been taking place at cornerback. Davonte Brown has probably earned one spot, but which player will be on the the other side? Lots of competition for that one spot has continued to play out.

Safety - Very easy, as it was always going to be Kamren Kinchens and James Williams.

Donno also discussed how the Canes have been fortunate this fall as compared to 2022; thank goodness. That included running back Chris Johnson, Jr. being a full-go for the end of fall camp. Here’s the podcast from Donno:
