The Miami Hurricanes continue to receive praise for their recruiting efforts on the defensive line.

Miami's 2024 D-line class was rated top in America by 247Sports. Defensive line coach Jason Taylor graded out as a top five recruiter in the country

Now, Rivals credits the Hurricanes with landing two of the top five weakside defensive ends in the class.

They rank 4-Star Hurricanes signee Marquise Lightfoot number two. 4-Star Booker Pickett Jr ranks fifth. The rest of the top five featured Texas signee Colin Simmons number one, South Carolina's Dylan Stewart third and Tennessee's Jordan Ross fourth. This leaves Miami as the only program with multiple representatives.

Lightfoot and Pickett weren't the only blue-chippers Miami managed to sign on the defensive line. Miami landed a pair of 5-Star prospects in Justin Scott and Armondo Blount along with 4-Stars Artavius Jones and Elias Rudolph
