KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- At the East regional of the Overtime OT7 7-on-7 tour over the weekend, elite talent wasn't hard to spot throughout the event.

Few prospects in the loaded field, though, have as lofty a ranking next to his name like Joshisa Trader of Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna. A five-star and top 11 overall prospect on both Rivals and ESPN, each major outlet tabs the rising-senior as one of America's most dynamic athletes or wide receivers.

Naturally, this recruitment has become one of the most coveted in the class of 2024 and Trader says things are rounding into shape relative to a timeline and some primary contenders.

Miami, of course closest to home and plenty involved under Mario Cristobal, just had him take in the 2023 spring game on Friday evening for his latest look at the program. A wide receiver projection for the local program, Trader was impressed by the sample.

"The spring game was good," Trader told All Hurricanes. "The offense has more to it. It's an air raid, they spread the ball around and there's good rotation, stuff like that.

"They're trying for me a lot. They hit me a lot, it's a brotherhood. Miami is getting back."

Trader has been linked to several programs, and he confirmed initial plans to make official visits to Ohio State, Florida and Florida State in addition to Miami, but Miami appears to have helped itself with the recent hire of Kevin Beard as wide receivers coach.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound talent views Beard as one of the nation's best at the position.

"He's certain on details," he said. "He's a fun coach to be around, but everything about him is details."

Trader will now pivot to spring football for CMHS, the defending Florida 1M state champions, before penciling in official visit plans and beyond in his recruitment.

"I'm still waiting," he said. "After the season, I'm going to commit."
