The Miami Hurricanes just added to their 2024 recruiting class with their third recruit from the state of Alabama. This time it's Cole McConathy from Spanish Fort (Ala.) High School.

Prior to his commitment to Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes, he was a Louisville commitment.

Another long and lean pass rusher, McConathy comes in at 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds. He's now the third definitive edge defender in the Miami recruiting class joining Elias Rudolph from Cincinnati (Ohio) Taft and Marquis Lightfoot from Chicago (Ill.) Kenwood.

Additionally, McConathy is the 26th member of Miami's 2024 recruiting class. Before all is said and done, look for the Canes to finish with a top-10 recruiting class. National Signing Day is Dec. 20.
