Elite 11 Georgia: Evaluations and Recruiting Ranking Predictions
Looking back at the 2023 Elite 11 Georgia regional, there were many different types of quarterbacks that competed.
Here’s a look at top performers from the 2024 class, with an underclassmen article to come soon.
Please note, the rankings listed below were primarily based on one event for the majority of prospects. Additionally, a handful of quarterbacks were focused on to give a better perspective of their talents, but there were certainly several other players that stood out as well.
Prentiss Air Noland, Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes - Ohio State commit
Most consistently accurate, whether a deep, intermediate or short pass (see the video above for proof). His motion was textbook, too. Alas, that’s probably why Noland hit his mark far more than not.
He also placed the football where he wanted during rollouts, and Noland’s passes found receivers whether throwing the football on a line or with arc. Seeing him develop over the past three seasons has been fun, and Noland deserves high praise for his work ethic to be such a polished passer while still possessing one more season of high school football.
Additionally, he’s one of the smartest quarterbacks one will meet. That’s on and off the gridiron. Ohio State landed a great talent and even better young man.
Ranking: This young man deserved to be considered a top 50 recruit. Noland’s rankings across the major networks – except for Rivals – have been accurate to date. No clue why he’s the No. 232 player by Rivals, but that’s a lock to change and soon. Nationally, he’s 42nd by On3, 55th by 247, and 47th by ESPN.
Jadyn Davis, Charlotte (N.C.) Charlotte Day School - Michigan commit
Powerful arm; that’s the first trait that should be noted. Just as comfortable outside the pocket as inside the pocket. Davis possessed plenty of confidence and looked quite comfortable throughout the Elite 11 regional.
He’s naturally athletic and will certainly be a player that picks up first downs for the Wolverines with his legs. For Davis, the only question would be his throwing motion.
Davis dipped his elbow quite low and a few throws sailed on him because of that fact. It’s correctable. This just in: Jim Harbaugh knows quarterbacks. Davis will progress under Harbaugh’s direction.
Ranking: 100 to 150. Seeing Davis in a throwing-only setting did not do him justice, but it’s the only time I’ve seen him live. Keep that in mind.
Judd Anderson, Gray (Ga.) Jones County - Miami commit
For a complete evaluation, one can read a complete breakdown here. For an overview, Judd possessed the natural size, arm talent, and demeanor that one would seek with a Power 5 quarterback.
He’s still developing and simply needs more game reps before a full-on ranking can truly be established. That stated, he can be as good as he wants, and Anderson has a passion to compete that cannot be taught.
Ranking: Between 300 and 500. Looking forward to seeing him again this fall when the pads come on.
Jayden Bradford, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy
One will not find a better person to talk football with. Bradford loves the sport and can break down the game of football with the best of them.
Having seen him throw several times at IMG, Bradford’s delivery has been tightened up and looks the best it’s been. He made strides with different types of throws, too. Whether a rhythm pass, seam route, swing pass or other opportunity, Bradford performed well.
He’s also a talented athlete, so this was not the best setting for him.
Ranking: Stock up. Want to see him live before going all-in with an even higher ranking, but he has a definite chance to be inside the top 200 prospects in the country.
Quarterback can be incredibly difficult to project. That being the case, one should give the benefit of the doubt to a young man with Bradford’s mental makeup. For now, a ranking between 250 and 300.
Colter Ginn, Perry (Ga.) High School
This player might be a surprise to some, or perhaps many, but he threw the football quite well. Plenty of zip, nice over-the-top delivery, and he had the confidence to let it rip all day long. Very confident young man.
Ranking: 500? Need to see Ginn’s early season senior film to further evaluate him, but he has Power 5 ability if he continues on his current path.
Final note, there’s a plethora of talented quarterbacks scattered across Georgia. College coaches need to drive to those out of the way locations away from Atlanta and check out some of the 2024 prospects, as well as the underclassmen, to see talented quarterbacks.
