The No. 140 player in the nation according to On3, Riley had a plethora of recruiting interest and scholarship offers.

The Northport (Ala.) Tuscaloosa County running back had overtures from the likes of Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, South Carolina, LSU, Penn State and Southern California in addition to the Canes.

What he brings to the University of Miami would be an all-around game that's shown to be condusive to playing between the tackles, hitting the jets around the corner, and being a viable option in the passing game as well.

At 6-foot and 195 pounds, Riley also has room to add more size once he begins training with the Miami strength and conditioning staff.

For a former Hurricanes running back perspective and comparison with Riley, Clinton Portis would be a good pick. His versatility allowed him to make it to the NFL after helping Miami win the 2001 national title.

All Hurricanes will have a total breakdown of where Miami stands with the 2024 recruiting class later this week, including a closer look at the great skill talent like Riley that's already joined the fold for Mario Cristobal and his squad.
