So the official visit landslide has begun for the Miami Hurricanes.

That's also a signal that an incredible amount of rumors and innuendo will be taking place. Some, however, could hold some merit. As with the case of LSU quarterback commitment Colin Hurley, there need to be a few items discussed.

First, for those of us that know Hurley well, make no mistake that he really digs LSU. He has for a long time. It was honestly surprising to hear his name mentioned with Miami or any other school when the smoke started to blow on June 1.

That stated, if rumors persist, All Hurricanes will get in touch with Hurley and see what’s up with Miami or any other institution, i.e. taking visits, just a basic conversation with Miami just in case, etc.

For now, Miami fans should consider Hurley a prospect that signs to play his college football in Baton Rouge. He’s a great young man and some lucky school will sign him. That does lead to the next part of this conversation.

Whom shall it be? There’s going to end up being some wild rumor that recruit “X” committed, will commit, etc.

Hold your horses before believing just anything. This kind of stuff happens all the time with recruiting. Rumors, rumors and more rumors. So, before going any further, here were the names to know for Miami’s June 2 official visit weekend (and that too could have changed):

Jerrae Hawkins, Wide Receiver, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy

Kamarion Franklin, Defensive Line, Lake Cormorant (Miss.) High School

Keyshawn Flowers, Linebacker, Severn (Md.) Archbishop Spalding

Wyatt Gilmore, Defensive End/Tight End, Rogers (Minn.) High School

Dre'lon Miller, Wide Receiver, Silsbee (Texas) High School

James Nesta, Linebacker, Cornelius (N.C.) William Amos Hough

Based on the above list, and this was mentioned during Alex Donno’s podcast on the Locked On Podcast network earlier this week, Miller was my pick to commit from the weekend.

That’s a shot in the dark, but I picked him because his two official visits were set up with Miami and Southern California (June 16).

Just looking at those two programs, two big city schools. Miami could make a major impression with Miller and the Canes need wide receiver recruits to begin with.

Also of importance, look for news to truly start to trickle out on Sunday and into the early portion of next week. The next day or so will likely be slow as it relates to news about the official visitors that have made it to Miami’s campus.

Finally, look for there to be more and more news as the month of June rolls along. With more visits, that's more chances of prospects committing to Mario Cristobal and the Canes. It's going to be a really fun month of June.
