It’s one thing for a NFL offensive lineman to look incredible with all the skilled trainers and dieticians available to them. However, in the case of IMG (Fla.) Academy offensive tackle Jordan Seaton, that’s a young man that’s not old enough to vote yet.

He literally reminded one of the incredibly lean and athletic Tyron Smith from the Dallas Cowboys (2011-present). No lie, as the 6-foot-6 and 285-pound elite recruit was running around the field at IMG like someone that weighed 50 pounds less than he actually did weigh.

With his raw talent and determination (more about his diet to get into that level of shape below), Seaton took a few moments to discuss his recruitment and where schools like the Alabama Crimson Tide, Georgia Bulldogs, Miami Hurricanes, Florida Gators and other schools fit in.

Let’s start off with how he trained himself to be in such good shape.

“A lot of people said I couldn’t bend back at 330 (pounds). It was true, I couldn’t drop the weight.”

That’s when things changed as he was determined to improve himself.

“I ran miles every day, worked out. So now it’s paying off. It’s going to get even scarier.”

Going into more specifics, Seaton broke it down.

“I would run a mile every single day. I would lift every day. Go back home. I would only eat one meal, and go back to the gym. I literally starved myself. No, like real life.”

“So, I would do fried rice, chicken, fruit, water, Propel, and Gatorade. But my portion of that would be kind of a heavy serving. I’m fasting but I’m still gaining those calories that I’m losing the whole day.

Asked if he felt lighter, Seaton laughed and said, “Yes sir, I do!”

Next, Seaton’s timeline for a decision.

“Yes sir,” Seaton replied to making a choice after the season. “I’ll be taking two officials this summer, and probably a couple more in the fall.”

As for which program has done the best job of recruiting Seaton, he had a hard time narrowing down the options.

“...I want to go (with) UGA…Bama for sure. (Alabama offensive line coach) Eric Wolford has been on it for sure. He hasn’t let anything slip!

“Ohio State always,” Seaton continued. “Literally my top four teams…they are literally like pushing hard, but I want to say like Miami is probably a big new one.”

As for the programs getting official visits, Seaton had a pretty good idea.

“Expect Bama to get one soon. And…Maybe LSU. That’s just June (official visits).”

With it being IMG’s spring scrimmage, there were numerous college coaches lined up to watch the talent. Miami’s running back coach Tim Harris, Jr. and offensive line coach Alex Mirabal were there to see Seaton and all the talent. So were coaches from Ohio State like offensive coordinator Brian Hartline, and Georgia offensive line coach Stacy Searels, among others.

So which coaches did Seaton notice being there?

“UGA told me (coaches were coming), Oklahoma, Ohio State, Miami told me,” Seaton said as he looked towards specific coaches along the edges of the field.

As for recent visits, Seaton clarified the two schools he went to recently.

“Florida and Alabama, those are the only two (unofficial) visits I took (during the recent past).”

Talking about the Crimson Tide, Seaton delved into his recent visit.

“What I liked about Alabama is the attention to detail that (head) coach Nick Saban has for offensive lineman. A lot of coaches are not closet OL guys, and a guy like him puts people in the league, hey, where else would you want to go, you know?”

As for favorite coaches to communicate with, Seaton added another program to the conversation that made a move with him.

“My favorite coaches to talk football would probably have to be coach (Rob) Sale and (offensive line) coach (Darnell) Stapleton back at Florida.”

Seaton also elaborated about what stood out about UF overall.

“The two-OL system,” Seaton said quickly. “Not a lot of schools have that, and being able to get repetition from those two OL guys, and work from them, and…the graduate assistants…they know football.”

Overall, Seaton provided a lot of details about the coaches that were coming after him and the visits he could take. Some schools have been after him longer, while programs like the Canes have made a big move up his list. It's interesting.

For now, it’s safe to assume that, in no particular order, Florida, LSU, Alabama, Miami, Georgia, and Ohio State would be in the mix. Other programs like Oklahoma have also been associated with Seaton so do not count out other schools either.
