Here’s the list of Miami’s top-notch committed recruits playing in the contest, beginning with three class of 2024 prospects, and then a class of 2025 recruit:
Vincent Shavers
, Linebacker, Miami (Fla.) Central
Zaquan Patterson
, Safety, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Chamindade-Madonna
Joshisa Trader
, Wide Receiver, Miami (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna
Armondo Blount
, Defensive End, Miami (Fla.) Central
Additionally, there are several other class of 2024, 2025, and 2026 recruits to watch. Here are a few of the prospects that those watching from the stands or on television should know about prior to watching.
Of course there’s the nation’s #1 2024 recruit Jeremiah Smith. The 6-foot-3 and 210-pound wide receiver plays for Chaminade-Madonna and continuously makes big plays. He’s still mulling over options from Miami, Florida and Florida State, despite being an Ohio State commitment.
Some of the other top 2024 prospects for the Lions include North Carolina running back commitment Davion Gause, North Carolina State quarterback commitment Cedric Bailey, Pittsburgh defensive end commitment Zachary Crothers, Florida Atlantic safety commitment Curtis Janvier, and UConn linebacker commitment Kaleb Stewart.
Chaminade-Madonna has several underclassmen of note, including 2025 prospects Anthony Smith at defensive tackle, Michigan cornerback commitment Chris Ewald, and slot receiver Kyle Washington. All three of them are likely to be heavily pursued by Miami and numerous other programs until they sign their respective letters of intent.
Central is also a team with a plethora of talent. The 2024 class has Shavers, plus top-notch wide receiver Lawayne McCoy could possibly end up at Miami despite being a Florida State commitment, quarterback JC Evans, and several other prospects that have offers and/or are under evaluation by college coaches.
As for underclassmen, watch out for 2025 defensive tackle Randy Adirika. Pairing with Blount, that’s one of the nation’s top defensive line duos. Staying with 2025 Central recruits, linebacker Ezekiel Marcelin is a sideline-to-sideline player with several offers in hand. Safety Amari Wallace is also one to watch among several defensive backs that will play college ball. Time to move over to offense.
2025 running back King Davis is a player drawing major Power 5 recruiting interest. Also at running back, but in the class of 2026, Jayden Ford is one of South Florida’s most elusive runners, and that’s saying something!
Considering Central has one of the nation’s deepest running back depth charts, Ford even standing out a little bit is impressive. To place Central’s running back depth chart in perspective, all five of the running backs could end up playing at some level of college football.
There are even more prospects that are not a part of this article. Truly, this game is going to showcase a plethora of talent. Chaminade-Madonna at Central should also be an excellent game to watch. It’s well worth the time to check it out.
