The most recent Miami Hurricanes signee is also the recruit who kicked off the 2024 class for Mario Cristobal and his coaching staff.

Abram Murray

Size: 6-foot-1, 180 pounds

Position: Kicker

High School: Shreveport (La.) C.E. Byrd

Recruitment: Miami won out over Arkansas, as Murray's decision to join The U went public on July 31, 2022.

From the 2024 Miami Commitments and Evaluations page, here’s what AllHurricanes states about Frederique:

Murray was actually Miami's first commitment of the 2024 cycle and remained that way for nine months. Arkansas and Miami were the two programs that Murray listed on his Twitter profile as having offered him. Miami was after him for quite some time prior to his commitment. Murray was one of the nation's top-ranked kicking prospects according to Kohl's Kicking Camps when he originally committed to the Canes, and he was No. 4 in the nation according to Kohl's Kicking Camps as of April 16, 2023.

Murray is one of two Louisiana players signing with the Hurricanes, joining all-around defensive back Dylan Day from Baton Rouge (La.) Southern Lab.
