Miami Loses 2026 Verbal Commitment

The Hurricanes are down one recruit
In this story:

The Miami Hurricanes are losing a talented 2026 defensive back recruit.

It's not a coincidence that this news takes place after the Hurricanes also lost secondary coach Jahmile Addae to the NFL's Buffalo Bills, as reported earlier today. Addae is a coach that many UM players respect and he's been building a relationship with several top recruits.

One of those recruits would be 2026 Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy cornerback Ksani Jiles

The talented recruit posted to his X account that he is now de-committed from the Hurricanes. Here's a key part of Jiles' statement:

"I have a lot of love for (the) University of Miami and coaching staff but after talking to my family I have decided to open up my recruitment."

Jiles has offers from numerous programs including the Hurricanes, Washington, Utah, Southern California, Colorado, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas A&M LSU, Ole Miss, Florida, and Michigan State.

Miami now has two players committed for the class of 2026
