- Former Mississippi State standout defenders Chris Jones and Wille Gay Jr. punched their tickets to a second straight Super Bowl when the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game. Jones was credited with a quarterback hit and a pass defended in the 17-10 victory. Gay reportedly had a setback with his neck injury and did not play.
- Super Bowl LVIII will be played Feb. 11, 2024 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The San Francisco 49ers are an early 2.5-point favorite.
- Mississippi State is asking fans attending the women's basketball game against reigning champion LSU on Monday evening to wear white.
