• MSU’s women’s tennis team started SEC play with a 4-0 loss to rival Ole Miss (6-2, 1-0) on Saturday. The Bulldogs (9-4, 0-1) will try to rebound from the loss Friday when they host Texas A&M.

• A pair of Bulldogs were named to the All-SEC track and field second team this week. Sophomore jumper Sherman Hawkins and senior runner Tyrese Reid received the awards after strong performances at the SEC Indoor Championships.

• Mississippi State has two men’s golfers ranked in the Individual Clippd Rankings. Hunter Logan is ranked No. 29 Josep Serra is ranked No. 81.

 
• The Mississippi State soccer team played Alabama in a spring exhibition game on Saturday night in Starkville.
