Countdown to the Start of Baseball Season

40 Days

Did You Notice?

  • Unlike a year ago, when Dallas lost its final game of the regular season against Washington, Dak Prescott finished 31-for-36 for 279 yards and four touchdowns as the Cowboys beat the Commanders 38-10 and wrapped up the NFC East and No. 2 seeding in the NFC Playoffs.
  • How big could that seeding be? The Cowboys went 8-0 at home this season, but 4-5 on the road.
  • Mississippi State tied South Carolina 40-40 in points in the paint and outrebounded the Gamecocks on the offensive glass 22-16.
  • The South Carolina defense settled in after the first quarter, holding the Bulldogs to just 31.0 percent shooting in that stretch.

Daily Dose of Mike Leach:

"I’ve always liked Lane [Kiffin] — and I know you’re not supposed to like anything from Ole Miss — but I’ve always liked him, kind of an entertaining guy."
