What will losing the Egg Bowl mean for Mississippi State on The Joe Gaither Show.

We connect with Justice Sandle of Cowbell Corner on "The Joe Gaither Show" the day after the Mississippi State Bulldogs fell to the Ole Miss Rebels in the annual Egg Bowl.

Mississippi State and Ole Miss are two programs going in opposite directions as the Rebels clinched their 10th win of the year last night, but the Bulldogs finished 5-7 and fell short of bowl eligibility.

Sandle tells the audience the importance of the Egg Bowl and what losing the game means to MSU fans after the late Mike Leach won it after a two-year hiatus. 

Mississippi State interim head coach Greg Knox tried to inspire his team last night by riding an ATV out of the tunnel and onto the field during pregame. The stunt wasn't enough to  take a victory, but was wild enough to be filed away in Egg Bowl lore. 

Bulldogs quarterback Will Rogers has left his mark on Starkville and announced after the game on Thursday that he intends to try the transfer portal and play his final year of college football elsewhere. Sandle tells the audience what Rogers means to the Mississippi State program and how he can help a program in the future.

Sandle updates the coaching search as national early signing date is just a few weeks away in football. It's important that the administration fired Zach Arnett when they did, but it's just as important to bring someone in that inspires the fan base and someone who can fiercely attack the transfer portal and recruiting.
