Nebraska will be without linebacker Nick Henrich against Iowa, Husker head coach Matt Rhule said Wednesday.

Henrich re-tore his ACL during overtime Saturday night against Wisconsin, and Rhule said he expects the fifth-year junior to take part in the Senior Day walk Friday. Henrich missed the last seven games of 2022 after injuring the knee against Purdue.

"I think he has some decisions to make," Rhule said, "but he'll walk on Friday. ... Nick’s one of those guys, he's given us everything. And so, Nick, obviously that was brutal.”

Chubba Purdy will start again Friday at quarterback, Rhule said. Heinrich Haarberg is still slowed by the ankle injury he suffered two weeks ago against Maryland and is an "emergency guy" at QB.

At running back, Anthony Grant is battling a low ankle sprain but should be able to play against the Hawkeyes, Rhule said.

Rhule addressed the emotions of Senior Day and more during Wednesday's press conference, which was his final session with reporters before Friday's 11 a.m. CST game.
